Women's cycling trousers are notoriously tricky to source.  And stylish women's cycling trousers are even more elusive.  So when we found Velocity Cyclewear's range of trousers, all manufactured in London, it didn't take us long to love them.

Velocity Cyclewear Climber Trousers are slim fitting but realistically sized with UK sizing in mind.  The attention to detail in the finish and material, as well as the cycling-specific details, are second to none.  The material is treated to be water and stain resistant, with just enough elastication to add to the comfort.

Features like heavy duty belt loops, reflective pocket details and phone-sized pockets are evidence of the care that's gone into Velocity's trousers.  And all at the same price as a half-decent pair of jeans.  A definite classic in the making.

Please note: lining colour varies from the royal blue shown - may include red, purple, grey and others!

Size Guide

The waistband of the trousers is cut to sit above the hip bones (not on your waist itself – which is that much higher).  Measure round your waist immediately above your hips to get a clearer idea of which size will work best for your shape.

Large 14 35" / 89cm 32" / 81cm

Who's Behind It?

Velocity Urban Cyclewear is the brainchild and creation of Carolyn Gaskell. She worked for 13 years in the charity and education sectors before prising herself out and fulfilling a passion to create Great British Urban Cyclewear. She aims to create cycling clothes that are as stylish as they are functional - clothes that you can still look great in even after you hop off your steed.

Aside from the exceptional quality of design and finish, what sets Carolyn's creations apart are the cycling specific details. Those little things that you don't necessarily spot initially, but which make all the difference to how you feel when you're on or off your bike.

Equally admirable is Velocity's insistence on both designing and manufacturing in London. Not for them a distant Far Eastern factory - they prefer to able to feel the collars of those actually making their kit - sometimes literally!

In 2015, Carolyn was joined by Lois - a dyed-in-the-wool cycling and design fanatic, who has doubled the team with the aim of taking Velocity to the next level, whilst never passing up a good cup of coffee or slice of cake.

  1. Nice trousers for skinny legs

Review by Christine (Posted on October 05, 2015)

I liked the idea of these trousers for using for my commutes to work meetings however the fit was not right.
I found the legs too tight for my cycling thighs and it was impossible to fit padded pants underneath as these added another layer of bulk
Although I liked the idea of the lower cut at the front to prevent digging in I felt the back was not high enough once you were on a bike and so there would be a gap.
Had to send back and continue my search for a pair of trousers that will make a transition from being on the bike to being in a meeting room!

VeloVixen Says: sorry to hear the trousers weren't quite the right fit. Trousers can be trickier things than some to get right, but good luck hunting for the right ones and do let us know if you find any great ones that we should be stocking!
