It won't surprise you to learn that cycling is our passion at VeloVixen. That said, we're all for having passions beyond cycling. And (shhhhh!) we're not ashamed to admit that Lego is one of them.

So when our friend and Lego designer Elspeth de Montes offered to combine the two to celebrate this year's biggest ever RideLondon, we couldn't wait to see the results...!

RideLondon is almost certainly the UK's biggest sportive for female cyclists, with a gratifyingly higher proportion of women than most mixed events. We're celebrating that in Lego form (see the VeloVixen team cheering next to Big Ben?!).

Aside from being a talented triathlete and regular sportive rider, Elspeth is one of the most talented Lego designers around, and has seen her creations grace the windows of Lego shops as far afield as London's Stratford flagship store and Glasgow. She's been part of the Lego recreations of the Jurassic Park and Back to the Future movies, and has built massive mock ups of a Glasgow tenement block and Heathrow's Terminal 5.

For our brilliant VeloVixen/RideLondon creation, she's built a scene brimming with London landmarks - make sure you've spotted Downing Street, a London copper, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Nelson's Column, St.Paul's Cathedral and even a classic red telephone box.

If you're a fellow closet Lego fan (we understand we're called AFOLs - 'Adult Fans of Lego' - and that David Beckham is one of us...), you can see more of her work here. It's amazing!

And if you're 'bricking it' about RideLondon, it might prove curiously soothing!
