VIDEO: The Best Women's Cycling Ride EVER!

Anna Glowinski 10.09.17

When we started looking for Anna's Legs Ambassadors, Anna and VeloVixen didn't have a fixed plan, but we knew we were looking for women who shared our values and who understood that ultimately, life is about experiences.

The Anna's Legs brand was created by a person who loves cycling, loves her friends and is inspired by the outdoors, adventures and camaraderie.

As such, we want our leggings to not only function on a ride, but to get women excited to get out and ride in the first place. We don't just want to focus on the products but on the experiences themselves that the products facilitate and encourage.

When we eventually found our perfect ambassadors, we wanted to give them something back, to say thank you for helping us to get the word out about our brand, and also to feed off them, to be inspired by them and to share a day together that reminded all of us why we live the way we do and why our passions are so important.

The bottom line is, we kinda just wanted to meet each other and ride our bikes. Dianne, Elle and Joanna joined Anna on a ride out in the Peak District that aimed to blow away cobwebs.

Diane, arguably the chattiest of the group (although it's a hard shout) took herself out of the driving seat for once, as a Breeze Ride leader, and let herself be led.

Elle had to get a stupid-o-clock in the morning train out of London and we all met in Chinley that's a stone's throw away from Joanna's self-run campsite. Everyone was out of their comfort zone for some reason.

Diane is more accustomed to being the motivator, as opposed to the motivatee, Elle - a Londoner, is no lover of hills and Joanna - a through and through mountain biker, had to borrow a road bike for the first time!

We met at the Old Hall Inn to make our introductions and a quick coffee turned into cakes and more as a heavy downpour prevented getting going. When it eventually cleared, we pedalled off to start our 29 mile, outrageously hilly ride!

I recommend The Old Hall Inn in Chinley for brilliant food and customer service. And Hope Valley Physio by the wonderful Alice for massages.
