Details

Violette is one of the most 'VeloVixen' women's cycling jerseys we've come across. Understated elegance oozes from it, and yet its brilliant women-specific fit and merino-rich material make it technically ideal for serious riding all year round. And the 2016 light blue colourway makes it even more sophisticated.

Once you've finished your ride, Violette will look fabulous whether you're sipping on an espresso outside a café on its native French Riviera or walking into work. But during your ride, you'll be thankful for its Merino content, which helps regulate your temperature, wick away moisture naturally and prevent that post-ride whiff. But wait, there's more! Violette is quite amazing on hot rides, absorbing moisture faster than you can say 'Hot Damn!'.

The non-Merino content ensures it retains its shape and colour, wash after wash, making it more hard wearing than you'd expect from such a chic top.

And then there are all those clever little details - zipped key pocket, pump pocket, ipod pocket, triple back pockets, reflective detailing, and so much more. Take Violette for a spin on your next ride and stand out from the crowd with a more civilisée look.

A review from Bikeradar.com says...

A classic look, soft feel and impeccable attention to detail... a garment that's become one of our go-tos, 4.5/5*

Care:Please note that merino can catch on sharp things like keys and brambles. If a hole appears, this can be easily darned. We suggest that you wash this jersey with similar items, and don't use fabric conditioner. Machine wash 30°. Zips, velcro and metal trims can damage merino during washing - keep these separate, then dry the jersey flat. With a little care, it should become a long-term luxurious favourite.

Size Guide

Café du Cycliste's sizing is generally pretty realistic. As with many European makes, if you're torn between two sizes err towards the larger of the two. Bear in mind that most of their products are cut more for comfort than for out and out skin hugging, so this can help counteract any 'undersizing'.

Who's Behind It?

André a former Ironman and Rémi a former canoeing World Champion are the founding duo behind Café du Cycliste. The pair started out opening a dreamy cycling community cafe in the Cote D’Azur, Nice and haven’t moved from that location since.

Soon after, André and Rémi launched what they deliberately describe as an ‘alternative cycling wear brand’. The essence of Café du Cycliste is to avoid the unsophisticated and garish. They combine the finest materials and latest technology with a retro twist, allowing you to perform to your best but look elegant and stylish in doing so.

Development, patterning, designing and testing all still take place on the inspirational Cote D’Azur, with only the actual manufacturing outsourced. We simply love their approach to both work and play, and their products consistently rank amongst the most sought after of any we stock.
