The cap is an icon of the cycling world. Worn well, it elevates the wearer's panache levels exponentially whilst protecting against the sun's harsh glare and the cloud's dark drizzle.
In the days before helmets were commonplace in the pro peloton, casquettes would sit proudly atop the heads of campionissimo and gregario alike. Displaying the perfect ‘luft’, these stars of the road knew what it took to look good.
Peak up, peak down, facing forwards or worn backwards to protect your neck, the cycling cap is the Swiss Army knife of cycling accessories. Wear it under your helmet or pull it out of your jersey pocket at the café stop to disguise your helmet hair, but always have it with you.
Time and technology moves on and whilst there is always a place for the cotton cap our lightweight polyester caps that offer perfect summer breathability.
To measure your head for a Chapeau! cap, simply take a measuring tap and wrap it around your head at the level that your cap would comfortably sit.
These caps are designed to have some 'give' in them, so don't panic if you're a little larger than the largest size.

- Polyester for breathability
- Classic peak to shield you from the sun, rain and wind
We admired Chapeau! from afar for years before finally consummating our relationship and finding a loving way to offer our customers their beautiful kit.
Based in Exeter, they are a truly British team - something that reflects in their designs as well as their attention to technical detail.
So what kind of folk are they? We think they hit a great balance between a true passion for cycling and a refusal to take it (or themselves) too seriously. They hate cycling stereotypes, love cake, hate cycling snobbery, love inclusivity. They respect cyclists of all types, look after their bikes and kit like their own children, and truly want to share their passion with others.
In short, they're our kind of people. And the proof couldn't be clearer: 'Chapeau!', in case you weren't aware, is French for 'hat', and is the traditional cycling parlance to pay tribute to a fellow cyclist's efforts.
We say 'Chapeau!' to them.

So cute!Review by alice
Love this little cap! It's soft and comfy and it fits really well without feeling tight (due to the stretchiness). For reference, my head measures 54cm and I ordered the small.
