Chapeau's Soulor bibshorts are a classic design that comes with a twist - namely, the price.
Named after one of the Pyrenees' most iconic climbs, the Col du Soulor*, they live up to their billing as a genuine all rounder that will be as home tackling hors catégorie climbs as taking on your commute across town.
The Soulor bibshorts have a tried and trusted multi-panel design along with a full mesh back, keep you cool and totally comfortable even on big climbs.
The pad is a Fiandre ultra-high density foam designed to focus pressure on your sit bones, where it should be. The generous elasticated cuff with subtle silicon impregnation keeps them in place whilst avoiding the dreaded 'sausage leg'.
Thanks to their zig-zag stitching rather than standard flatlock stitching and labels on the outside, they're even more comfy and flattering. In short, these are the definition of good value for a great pair of bibshorts.
* Described by VeloPeloton as "a Tour de France classic, it is one of the cols of 'The Circle of Death', also one of the most beautiful roads in the world".

We admired Chapeau! from afar for years before finally consummating our relationship and finding a loving way to offer our customers their beautiful kit.
Based in Exeter, they are a truly British team - something that reflects in their designs as well as their attention to technical detail.
So what kind of folk are they? We think they hit a great balance between a true passion for cycling and a refusal to take it (or themselves) too seriously. They hate cycling stereotypes, love cake, hate cycling snobbery, love inclusivity. They respect cyclists of all types, look after their bikes and kit like their own children, and truly want to share their passion with others.
In short, they're our kind of people. And the proof couldn't be clearer: 'Chapeau!', in case you weren't aware, is French for 'hat', and is the traditional cycling parlance to pay tribute to a fellow cyclist's efforts.
We say 'Chapeau!' to them.
