Growing up in California as a surfing, skating, and snowboarding fanatic, Supacaz Founder Anthony Sinyard could never quite figure out why cycling gear was so dull. He was a huge fan of 80s surf brands like T&C Surf, Quiksilver, & Santa Cruz - and the one thing they all had in common was their strikingly vibrant, fun colours.
When he became pro cyclist, Anthony searched far and near for bike brand that matched the hypnotic dazzle of his favourite surf/skate brands. He failed.
And that inspired the idea to create his own brand. A brand which fused high-performance and vibrant style. He called it SUPACAZ, and from day one his stated aim was to ‘deliver the sexiest and most technical cycling products ever created’. Granted, California isn't famous for its understatements, but we reckon he's not far off!
And with global cycling mega-stars like Peter Sagan, Alberto Contador, Tony Martin, Fabio Aru, Vicenzo Nibali, Philippe Gilbert, Mark Cavendish, Marcel Kittel and Tom Boonen entrusting much of their careers to Supacaz's bar tape and other products, it's fair to say we're not alone.
