The Castelli Perfetto RoS ('Rain or Shine') is one jacket that - quite simply - does everything well. It's a bona fide piece of cycling folklore, with so many professional plaudits from when it first launched as the Gabba that it can genuinely call itself a mould breaker. Small wonder Castelli's motto for the Perfetto RoS is 'If you just had one jacket'./p>
Castelli initially designed it as a cool-weather training and extreme-weather race top for pro riders. In the real world, it's great for so many other conditions too, thanks to full wind protection, outstandingly flattering fit through stretchy fabrics, and unparallelled breathability.
This latest evolution of the Perfetto represents the biggest performance upgrade since it first launched four 'generations' ago. It manages to combine fantastic dry weather performance with wet weather perfection.
Castelli worked with Gore to develop two new exclusive Gore-Tex Infinium Windstopper fabrics. There's a light fleece-lined water-resistant version on the front panels and a lighter, stretchier fabric on the back which combines water repellency with breathability.
The Perfetto RoS is the perfect weight: with no built-in insulation, you can choose whether to wear it over a light base layer on milder days - or you add a thermal jersey underneath for really chilly outings.
There are familiar features throughout: excellent fit, easy-sliding YKK zip, extended tail for protection from wheel spray, reflective back panel, and discreetly classy styling.
Unless you know about the Perfetto's racing pedigree, you'd think it was just a stylish top. But if you know, you really know!

Castelli Size Guide
Where Castelli once had a reputation for making gear that suited only very small Italian folk, the Castelli women's size scale is now very similar to 'normal' UK sizing.
That said, it is primarily designed with a snug fit in mind, so if you prefer more room or are between sizes, go up rather than down. If you are still unsure, feel free to contact us.

Q. What do a 19th century Italian tailor, a designer for the Milan Ballet and the first ever lycra cycling shorts have in common?
A. They are all part of a rich 140 year history that's led to today's most recognised brand in cycling: Castelli.
Throw in a heart attack on a famous Italian climb, family feuds, Olympic gold medals and controversy in the pro peloton and it begins to sound more like a Sicilian soap opera than the backdrop to a cycling brand. But then again Castelli is no ordinary brand.
Today, Castelli's scorpion emblem is arguably the single most recognised in cycling. Iconic is an overused word these days, but the Castelli brand surely qualifies.
We first discovered Castelli on our year long ride through the Americas in 2010, when our founder Liz wore Castelli shorts and loved them, so stocking them seemed an obvious choice. But we're almost as captivated by the story behind the name as the kit itself! For the full Castelli story (it's quite a story!), click here.
We aim to dispatch all orders within 2-3 working days, often sooner. Within the UK we use Royal Mail's Tracked service - you will receive a tracking code with your order once it is shipped.
Next Day Delivery (guaranteed by 12pm with Royal Mail) is available on some products when ordered before 1pm. This option will be shown next to the specific product when available.
If your particular size is not shown, feel free to contact us by email at contact@velovixen.com. Please note some deliveries may take longer if we need to order a product in.
