For those of you who like to get out on adventures in wild weather the MT500 II Waterproof Jacket is the perfect companion for you.

The ExoShell60 3-Layer waterproof fabric will shield you from the wet weather and what's better you won't end up like a boil in a bag because there are two large undearm 2-way zipped vents extending onto your back to keep you cool. They're positioned as such that they're compatible with a backpack, so you can open and shut easily as you ride.

To help keep you dry there's a water-repellent zip with storm flap, internal stretch cuffs with velcro closures to make sure nothing sneaks in. If you do find yourself getting too hot, not only are there the underarm vents but the front and back pockets also double up as additional vents too.

Other cycle-specific features include durable shoulders with silicone grips to be compatible with an MTB backpack, and reflective detailing to give you that extra visibility edge.

A hardworking all-round jacket that is worth it's weight in gold.

Who's Behind It?

Endura - you see a lot of it around, don't you? So you may be guilty of assuming it's a bit... generic? Despite our founders Liz and Phil successfully using Endura kit on their2010 odysseyfor a while we were a little guilty of the same prejudice. Turns out nothing could be further from the truth, especially with a depth of female design talent in their ranks!

Endura was founded in Scotland in 1993 with a no-nonsense commitment to improving the performance and function of cycling kit for everyone. From the start, it was a maverick brand, with a stated philosophy of 'Renegade Progress'. Endura quickly launched a range of novel and challenging products that have gone on to earn iconic status within cycling and have frequently reset benchmark for function and durability for the industry.

Over a generation, all of this has seen Endura evolve from a proudly Scottish local brand to a global stalwart of the cycling sector. And with that has come the real fun. Today, they match great finish, fit and robustness with fabulous styles and colourways. And they're associated with some of the most exciting names in cycling.

If it's good enough for the likes of the Cervelo Bigla women's pro team, paralympians like Denise Schindler, Movistar's male megastars like Nairo Quintana and Alejandro Valverde... then it's more than good enough for us!

And that's without mentioning arguably the most recognisable cycling star of them all: Scotland's own Danny MacAskill. This video gives a flavour of Danny in his home surroundings - using Endura to better effect than most of us can ever dream of...!
