You've just got to look around the VeloVixen office to realise that women come in all shapes and sizes, and that size is not often a true reflection on athletic ability. We're proud to be working with the team at Fat Lass At the Back to bring a range of flattering cycling clothing for women up to a UK size 26, including the Fat Lass at the Back Balmy women's cycling jersey simple, chic long sleeve cycling jersey.
As with the brand, plenty of thought has been put into this short sleeve women's cycling jersey. You'll notice that the Lasses 0% Balmy Short Sleeve Jersey is more subtly branded than the other Fat Lass At the Back jerseys, with just the Edwina (named after the designer) lady cyclist logo and no mention of the ‘F’ word!
There's nothing run-of-the-mill about the rest of this jersey: Fat Lass At the Back have re-designed the standard women’s cycling jersey template to create a curve friendly, flattering fit. It's been gently tailored and is longer in length to make sure you're not left feeling exposed, as well as flattering graduated black body and side panels to slim the waist.
Made from a super soft, warm, market leading, technical fabric, the jersey is fully breathable, sweat wicking and quick drying. And every detail has been thought of, from the full length zip for ease of access to the 3 pockets with a Smart Phone friendly, zip pocket on the rear to stash your valuables.
For best results, we recommend taking a look at the Size Guide section above before ordering.
Fat Lass At the Back has a unique sizing guide, so for best results we recommend following these instructions.

Fat Lad At the Back was conceived when three 'large framed lads' including founder Richard Bye, rode to the Alps. After years of squeezing into ill-fitting and often unflattering kit, Bye decided to create a range of easy to wear, high quality garments using the best technical fabrics available.
Yorkshire-based Fat Lad At the Back ('F.L.A.B.'!) caters for cyclists who, like the founders, are fighting flab for a fitter body through cycling (their words, not ours!). Inundated by requests from female cyclists following the press and proven popularity of their male collection (including an impressive showing on the BBC's Dragons' Den), Fat Lad At the Back launched a women's specific range of plus-sized cycling clothing in response to the demand.
Launched in 2013 by Richard and his wife Lynn, Fat Lad At The Back and Fat Lass at the Back have gone from strength to strength. They design their garments in the UK and manufacture them primarily in Italy. Their focus on fit and quality is fast becoming legendary, with exceptional attention to detail in their tailoring.
Note: although we already suspected it, we took guidance both from our customers and from the Fat Lass at the Back themselves as to whether overt use of the brand would appeal to women as much as to men. We quickly realised that demand was strong and that many women have been hankering after plus sized women-specific cycling kit!
