Details

Part of Gore's C5 collection, the Thermo Jersey sports a sleek 'Form' fit that sits in the middle of their cuts. Engineered to be worn on the bike - whether in the mountains or on the road - it's also suitable for out of the saddle too.

Gore's C5 Thermo Long Sleeve Jersey is a mid weight layer that's engineered to be worn alone for cool rides, or as a warm layer under your thick winter jacket for the coldest rides.

The inside of the jersey is made from a thermo lining material that increases warmth thanks to its brushed and soft back for next-to-skin comfort. This jersey performs exceptionally well in cool conditions around 5° - 15°C.

Cycling specifics include 3-compartment patch pockets on the rear with a small, zipped pocket in addition, full length zip with semi-lock slider and zip underflap. Reflective detailing, partially elastic hem and close fit collar to keep the breeze out.

Size Guide

Gore have three levels of fit across their ranges; slim, form and active fit.

1) Slim Fit - a more relaxed 'Active' fit than their other cuts. Although engineered to be worn on the bike - whether on the road or trails - it's a versatile piece that's also ideal for running or hiking. The C3 range encompasses the slim fit.

2) Form Fit - The 'Form' fit sits in the middle of Gore's cuts. Engineered to be worn on the bike - whether in the mountains or on the road - it's also suitable for out of the saddle too. Look for the C5 level of products.

3) Active Fit - Garments are designed for the specific sport they're to be worn for. Cycling jackets are cut specifically for cycling and perform best on the bike. It's the most form-fitting of their cuts and includes C7 level products.

Who's Behind It?

When Bill Lee Gore founded Gore in 1958, it all started with a father-son experiment in their basement insulating electrical wires. It evolved over the years until they became recognised experts at making 'microporous' plastics - materials that let certain liquids and gases through in certain directions.

Sounding familiar yet? It should - this was where Gore-Tex came from. Like hoovers, velcro and sellotape, Gore-Tex has become a household name - today it's synonymous with waterproof kit that keeps you totally dry from the rain whilst remaining breathable and unsweaty.

But all waterproofs are not alike, and Gore-Tex remain ahead of the field for waterproofing technology, making waterproof gear like the ground-breaking, gob-smacking ShakeDry, that still keeps them ahead of the pack.

And now it's more than just practical and brilliant - recent years have seen them begin to create ranges that look every bit as awesome as they work - understatedly cool and flattering.
