The Morvelo women's Pongo Aegis windproof cycling jacket is made from a 2 ply water resistant membrane, which acts like a windproof barrier to stop harsh winds from blowing through - no more goose-bump chill and chattering teeth!  Whoop.

Think of this race cape, like you do your tyre pump, repair kit and Hoo Ha Ride Glide - how could you possibly ride without them, right? The Pongo Aegis is the handy must-have for unpredicted showers and brisk descents, shielding you from all things wet and windy. A truly classy way to beat a British downpour.

The unique super soft feel and aerodynamic fit keeps rustling winds to a minimum without the annoyance of any baggy bits, whilst rear vents allow the jacket to breath - so you don't overheat and can stay dry.

Light enough at just 79g to pack down and stash in its own pocket, take this packable jacket with you on every ride, year in year out, for peace of mind, warmth and style.

Ideal for:

  • Wind and light rain protection
  • All year round cycling

Morvelo's Aegis jacket has been treated with a Durable Water Repellant finish (DWR), which keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.  Morvélo strongly advise that this coating needs to be replenished periodically, using treatments such as:  Grangers Spray-On, McNett Revivex, Nikwax TX-Direct or Tectron DWR Treatment. Note: it is water resistant rather than waterproof, which keeps it breathable but means it will not keep you dry in a longer downpour.

Who's Behind It?

Founders Oli Pepper, Dave Marcar and their team are among the UK's most respected and creative kit designers. They've spent most of their lives riding and racing all kinds of bikes, plus nearly as long in the worlds of graphic design and branding. As long ago as 2009, they decided to combine their passions and expertise and created Morvélo - to encompass cycling 'in all its forms'.

Since then, from their Brighton base, the firm has grown steadily through private financing from their friends and customers - often one and the same! Today they are a dark horse brand gathering momentum within British cycling sector.

Though not yet a household name, those who know about Morvelo... well, they just know! They remain independently owned and proudly British, and invariably put their own distinctive mark on their ever evolving range of stunning cycling gear. They explore themes that combine cycling with wider influences from art, fashion, film and music. And they do it with real individuality and class.

Their women's range is growing fast, and they have 'real' women as part of their team both to design and test all their products. Just some of the reasons why we like them so much!

On top of their great clothing, they are always looking to expand their influence within the cycling world more broadly - hence their collaborations with brands as iconic as the Tour de France, the Bicycle Academy and Look Mum No Hands. Brighton's finest are steadily taking over the cycling world!

  1. Fits in my mini saddlebag, reasonable wind and rain protection

    Review by Lily

I was starting to sweat im my winter coat and it was too big to put away without a pannier or backpack ????

This was a great solution, tiny and good protection in early spring weather

For something this small it’s impressive. Kept me mostly dry even in a larger downpour and kept me warm on a windy day.

It gets really smalll, managed to fit this in my castelli mini saddle bag along with a multi-tool and two chunky tyre levers.

I’d want more protection in winter ❄️ but this isn’t for that
