These luxurious thermoactive cycling tights from Morvelo provide exactly the right amount of coverage when 3/4 length bib knickers aren't enough. Not only does the full length leg give you extra warmth, it also flatters the shape of your legs.
Morvélo's StormShield padded tights are made from MITI SuperRoubaix fabric, which sounds super exciting and we can assure you it is. The brushed-back fleece inner holds the heat in and the micro-fibre weave lets sweat evaporate. So in effect, the fleece warms your legs and at the same time cools them down, releasing moisture.
Its award winning Italian Dolomiti chamois pad is created from two levels of high density memory foam, which uses the latest aircell technology to reduce pressure points - so your bum gets the best saddle experience! The first level supports the hip and pelvic bones, leaving the perineal area free from pressure and discomfort - absorbing shocks caused by bumpy rides. The second level of perforated foam ventilates and sorts out the moisture. Then its covered with a soft, resiliant outer layer for pure saddle satisfaction.
For additional comforts there are all the tiny, but significant features: StormShield Water Repellent treatment and three Ply Membrane waterproof panels to stop rain seaping through and windblock front panels to stop leg chill. The thermal, soft foot loops keep the tights in place, flatlock stitching will stop itchy irritations, a pedal panel sits behind each knee for unrestrictive pedalling and reflective detailing to keep you seen.
It doesn't take much for Morvélo to impress us... They've gone all out and extensively tested these bib knickers in short and harsh Crit and Cyclocross races, as well as 24hr solo MTB races! The results: incredibly adaptable and perform to the highest standard. Rasing the stakes high for quality bum comfort.
Morvelo's StormShield padded tights are a tight fit to enable the compression qualities of the Power Lycra to work. Initially the knickers will feel tighter than other shorts, however, after the first couple of rides, they'll gently loosen as they adapt to your body. Morvelo advise sizing up if you prefer a regular fit.

Morvelo's StormShield Padded Tights have been treated with a Durable Water Repellant finish (DWR), which keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job. Morvelo strongly advise that this coating needs to be replenished periodically, using treatments such as: Grangers Spray-On, McNett Revivex, Nikwax TX-Direct or Tectron DWR Treatment.
Oli Pepper and Dave Marcar are bike nuts to the core. They've spent most of their lives riding and racing all kinds of bikes, plus nearly as long in the worlds of graphic design and branding. In 2009, they decided to combine their passions and expertise and created Morvelo - to encompass cycling 'in all its forms'.
Since then, from their Brighton base, the firm has grown through private financing from their friends and customers - often one and the same! Today they are amongst the rising stars of the British cycling sector. They remain independently owned an proudly British, and so able to put their own distinctive mark on their ever expanding range of stunning cycling gear. They explore themes that combine cycling with wider influences from art, fashion, film and music. And they do it with real individuality and class. Their women's range is growing fast, and they have 'real' women as part of their team both to design and test all their products. Just some of the reasons why we like them so much!
On top of their great clothing, they are always looking to expand their influence within the cycling world more broadly - hence their collaborations with brands as iconic as the Tour de France, the Bicycle Academy and Look Mum No Hands, and cycling events. They are going places, and we're going with them...
