The Polaris She Quartz 3/4 length women's cycling leggings are cut flatteringly for female body shapes, and include an ergonomically shaped chamois pad that punches well above its weight for such a reasonably priced bottom half.

Add in the beautifully soft, fleecy polyester Comfortral material, plus cleverly conceived details like flat-stitched seams and gripper elastic leg hems and the Polaris She Quartz women's padded cycling tights will ensure you'll be all set for all but the warmest rides.

Who's Behind It?

Polaris are a UK based company that have been producing technical cycling clothing for over 20 years now. Under the watchful eye of founder Roger Dillon, they started off developing kit for mountain bikers in the '90s. With oodles of experience, Roger committed to diversifying into all areas of cycling and Polaris now has successful road, urban and trail ranges.

From their humble base in Derbyshire, Polaris has developed into a truly international brand, with their kit worn by cyclists worldwide. What makes Polaris stand out for VeloVixen is that we feel their design team truly understand the needs of female cyclists in terms of fit, function and design.

Chantelle Matthews, head designer and keen mountain biker, has developed the Polaris women's range in collaboration with a predominantly female design team. They take into account all of the different shapes and sizes, and work hard to ensure a considerate fit and contoured design, so every individual wearing Polaris gear looks and feels comfortable in the saddle.

  1. Strange padding

    Review by Helbo

I find Polaris true to size and originally ordered a size 14. I had to return these because the padding was very stiff and seemed too small for the garment and created a very strange shape. I exchanged for the 16 and these are better and I've kept them because they match the jacket. However the pad still creates a really weird shape at the top of my legs in a way no other cycling tights do - I'll have to be careful what position I stand in. It really feels too stiff (I'll see if they're comfortable once I've worn them) and have a kind of fold that means it extends into the top of the leg - stiff pad, stretchy lycra = odd bits bulging out.

VeloVixen Says: sorry to hear you've had a few problems with the padding. In truth, we haven't heard this before, but that's not to say that the issue doesn't exist in your case. We do often find that pads do soften up over time, but it's important to be realistic about the shapes - a good chamois pad will always leave a bit of a bulge. Thanks again for the order.
