Made by cyclists for cyclists.  A stunning detailed jersey, perfect to wear underneath a cycling jacket in winter and works just as well on its own, on a cool spring ride too!  The head-turning design with its brushed back thermal fabric means you can ride comfortably when the temperatures start to drop.

The women-specific cut helps keep the heat in and the cold out so you can stay on the saddle despite the cold temperatures.  Create a flattering combination with base layers, gilets and top layers in more inclement conditions. This could be the bedrock item of clothing to get you through colder rides.

Who's Behind It?

Primal was founded in 1992 by 'real' cyclists. It's an ethos they maintain today: every employee must be a passionate and positive cyclist - but not necessarily a hugely talented one! Their primary aim is to create clothes for cyclists that not only work perfectly, but also look unique, beautiful and full of character.

Their design department is famous in the cycling world, constantly creating ambitious new looks but never allowing style to overwhelm substance. Whilst they are amongst the biggest cycling clothing companies in the world, they stand out by remaining human, approachable and flexible. They go out of their way to avoid becoming a corporate behemoth focused on 'peddling not pedalling'. It's a great approach.

Their Global Headquarters is in Denver, Colorado (lucky them!), but they have been growing within Europe for several years now, and their UK team is fully focused on what is a new market for them. We are hoping to grow with them.

  1. Jersey part of bundle

    Review by 'Margo'

Lovely duo, but unfortunately could not put on the jersey, far less wear it! Far too tight on the arms, so I have had to return it. The pants are fine, but alas it is too wet up here in Scotland to cycle....

  2. Gorgeous cosy jersey.

    Review by Betty Beagle

Perfect jersey for sunny autumn morning ride. This and a base layer warm enough, (shame to cover it up for today's foggy ride!). Washes beautifully with no loss of fabulous colour or shape. As with previous review found I had to go up a size from my usual Primal clobber. Be sure to check size chart before ordering and I'm sure you'll love this jersey.

VeloVixen Says: so pleased you love it as much as we do - no coincidence it's the first product in our new catalogue...! x

  3. sizing difficult

    Review by jebs4453

ordered as a gift, your sizing is not easy to work out, as you give measurements in inches rather than usual sizes. The large size I ordered was too small and will have to be returned. Not impressed.

VeloVixen Says: Thanks for your constructive thoughts, and sorry the size didn't work out. We will pass on your thoughts on sizing to Primal, although we're not quite sure what 'usual' sizes are? As you'll be aware, in the cycling sector one brand's 'Large' or 'UK-14' can be quite different for another brand, so inches and cm are normally a safer bet.
