Primals Onyx Women's Rain Jacket is a brilliant compromise for road cycling - light enough to squash unobtrusively into a jersey pocket when the sun comes out, substantial enough to keep you well protected from wind and the odd shower.

Where a 100% waterproof jacket can become oppressive, the Onyx Rain Jacket remains refreshingly breathable. The stretch in the material allows it to mould comfortably to you. Even the fit is a perfect balance - fitted enough to avoid flapping, never tight enough to become uncomfortably restrictive.

This is a jacket we swear by - at this time of year, with the weather as unpredictable as it is, this will keep the worst of the wind and rain at bay and allow you to make it back for coffee and cake unscathed.

Who's Behind It?

Primal was founded in 1992 by 'real' cyclists. It's an ethos they maintain today: every employee must be a passionate and positive cyclist - but not necessarily a hugely talented one! Their primary aim is to create clothes for cyclists that not only work perfectly, but also look unique, beautiful and full of character.

Their design department is famous in the cycling world, constantly creating ambitious new looks but never allowing style to overwhelm substance. Whilst they are amongst the biggest cycling clothing companies in the world, they stand out by remaining human, approachable and flexible. They go out of their way to avoid becoming a corporate behemoth focused on 'peddling not pedalling'. It's a great approach.

Their Global Headquarters is in Denver, Colorado (lucky them!), but they have been growing within Europe for several years now, and their UK team is fully focused on what is a new market for them. We are hoping to grow with them.

Bought this jacket and love the overall feel and wear of this jacket but major disappointment only wore it twice and it became badly discoloured a dirty yellow colour losing the fresh white look
