Castelli's Sorpasso 2 bib tights encouraging longer rides, presenting the brands premium quality, functionality and comfort, by utilising some of their top of the range technology. Bringing extreme comfort and durability, this bib tight will ensure more enjoyable rides.

First things first, when choosing the right bib tight, padding is one of the most vital components. You'll be pleased to know that Castelli have fitted the Sorpasso with their top of the range women's specific seat pad, boasted to be the most comfortable on the planet. Castelli achieves this optimum comfort through a seamless skin layer, constructed with a bacteriostatic four-way stretch fabric that effortlessly moulds to the form of the body and saddle throughout the gyroscopic movement. Combined with a multi-density foam composition of variable thicknesses, this padding provides sufficient cushioning to the most sensitive areas. Finished with perforated viscous inserts, you get all round comfort and a truly breathable pad that will keep you in the saddle for even longer.

Designed with both their supreme Thermoflex Core2 and standard Thermoflex fabric, Castelli have produced a tight that delivers excellent insulation while remaining breathable. The Thermoflex is composed of a hollow-core polyester that provides a fleece lining to wick moisture away from the skin and ensures insulating warmth. The outer material delivers a smooth nylon shell to further aid in moisture management.

With a lumbar support band, this bib tight offers excellent waist support and overall compression without compromising on breathability or warmth. Perfect for long rides in the saddle.

Castelli Size Guide

Where Castelli once had a reputation for making gear that suited only very small Italian folk, the Castelli women's size scale is now very similar to 'normal' UK sizing.

That said, it is primarily designed with a snug fit in mind, so if you prefer more room or are between sizes, go up rather than down. If you are still unsure, feel free to contact us.

        Q. What do a 19th century Italian tailor, a designer for the Milan Ballet and the first ever lycra cycling shorts have in common?

        A. They are all part of a rich 140 year history that's led to today's most recognised brand in cycling: Castelli.

Throw in a heart attack on a famous Italian climb, family feuds, Olympic gold medals and controversy in the pro peloton and it begins to sound more like a Sicilian soap opera than the backdrop to a cycling brand. But then again Castelli is no ordinary brand.

Today, Castelli's scorpion emblem is arguably the single most recognised in cycling. Iconic is an overused word these days, but the Castelli brand surely qualifies.

We first discovered Castelli on our year long ride through the Americas in 2010, when our founder Liz (pictured) wore Castelli shorts and loved them, so stocking them seemed an obvious choice. But we're almost as captivated by the story behind the name as the kit itself!
