Castelli have been riding bikes on gravel since before it was a thing, and have always done it in normal Castelli jerseys. The only complaint was that the occasional branch or vine could pull the delicate fabrics, and after a few rides the jersey wouldn't look exactly pristine. That's what they focused on with the Unlimited Jersey.
The body of the Unlimited Jersey is made from ProSecco Unlimited fabric. The polyester knit has been created to offer excellent breathability and stretch, keeping you cool and comfortable, but is more durable than the typical race-ready fabrics Castelli uses on its road-specific jerseys. This helps prevent any snagging or wear that comes from the demands of riding off road.
It compromises nothing in terms of fit, comfort, moisture management and light weight, but they have used fabrics that offer additional protection from snags. The arms and shoulders are most exposed, and here they have used a highly resistant stretch woven fabric that fits great yet is extremely protective. The main body is closer to a traditional jersey fabric but fared best in snag and Velcro tests.
3 rear pockets provide plenty of room to stuff supplies and a silicone gripper at the waist helps keep the jersey in place.

Castelli Size Guide
Where Castelli once had a reputation for making gear that suited only very small Italian folk, the Castelli women's size scale is now very similar to 'normal' UK sizing.
That said, it is primarily designed with a snug fit in mind, so if you prefer more room or are between sizes, go up rather than down. If you are still unsure, feel free to contact us.

Q. What do a 19th century Italian tailor, a designer for the Milan Ballet and the first ever lycra cycling shorts have in common?
A. They are all part of a rich 140 year history that's led to today's most recognised brand in cycling: Castelli.
Throw in a heart attack on a famous Italian climb, family feuds, Olympic gold medals and controversy in the pro peloton and it begins to sound more like a Sicilian soap opera than the backdrop to a cycling brand. But then again Castelli is no ordinary brand.
Today, Castelli's scorpion emblem is arguably the single most recognised in cycling. Iconic is an overused word these days, but the Castelli brand surely qualifies.
We first discovered Castelli on our year long ride through the Americas in 2010, when our founder Liz (pictured) wore Castelli shorts and loved them, so stocking them seemed an obvious choice. But we're almost as captivated by the story behind the name as the kit itself! For the full Castelli story (it's quite a story!), click here.
We aim to dispatch all orders within 2-3 working days, often sooner. Within the UK we use Royal Mail's Tracked 48 service - you will receive a tracking code with your order.
Next Day Delivery (guaranteed by 12pm with Royal Mail) is available on some products when ordered before 1pm. This option will be shown next to the specific product when available.
If your particular size is not shown, feel free to contact us by email at contact@velovixen.com. Please note some deliveries may take longer if we need to order a product in.
