The Primal AireSpan women's knit t-shirt base layer is the perfect combination of technical fabric, feminine design and on trend colours. This is quite simply one of the nicest cycling base layers we've seen in some time. Understated practicality oozes from it, and despite the fact that it's unlikely to be on display out on the road, it's just as at home in the gym or in the spinning studio.

Its mesh composition creates a layer of warm air under your chosen cycling jersey, allowing you to moderate your core temperature. On warmer days, it works as a perfect ventilation layer, helping your jersey to wick perspiration way and leaving you feeling dryer and more comfortable.

The seamless construction of this shirt minimizes friction making it the perfect apparel for your active, everyday life. The stretchable melange fabric is lightweight and soft, while strategically placed mesh patterns provide additional ventilation when you're working up a sweat. This really is a base layer for every occassion.

  • Aire Mélange fabric ~ 34% Polyester | 66% Polyamide

  • Seamless woven construction

  • Lightweight

  • Soft touch

  • Breathable

  • Integrated mesh venting

  • Crew neck

  • No restriction of movement

Primal was founded in 1992 by 'real' cyclists. It's an ethos they maintain today: every employee must be a passionate and positive cyclist - but not necessarily a hugely talented one! Their primary aim is to create clothes for cyclists that not only work perfectly, but also look unique, beautiful and full of character.

Their design department is famous in the cycling world, constantly creating ambitious new looks but never allowing style to overwhelm substance. Whilst they are amongst the biggest cycling clothing companies in the world, they stand out by remaining human, approachable and flexible. They go out of their way to avoid becoming a corporate behemoth focused on 'peddling not pedalling'. It's a great approach.

Their Global Headquarters is in Denver, Colorado (lucky them!), but they have been growing within Europe for several years now, and their UK team is fully focused on what is a new market for them. We are hoping to grow with them.
