Col d'Izoard is the mountain of inspiration behind Queen of the Mountains' Spring/Summer 2017 collection. The name of this Race Jersey is after Louison Bobet, the first man to win three Tour de France races in a row (1953, 1954 and 1955) and he had an incredible battle up the Col d'Izoard!

The dream started whilst on a 1000km charity ride from Geneva to Cannes over the French Alps. Alicia Bamford, a keen cyclist, triathlete and fond Iron Man participant (5 times completed), founder of Queen of the Mountains, envisaged a brand where women would be inspired and empowered to ride. With a passion for cycling, in particular the mountains, Alicia created Queen of the Mountains.
Alicia wanted more women to be able to experience that sense of achievement and freedom you can get from the bike. At the beginning of 2015 Alicia and Katy (a fellow cyclist and Creative designer) set their minds to launching a women's brand that did just that.
Queen of the Mountains want to support young girls and women, coming into the sport later in life, continue cycling and promote confidence and and inspiration to ride. They're doing a brilliant job so far, producing high quality cycling clothing for women, running sponsorship programmes and local training rides too - making opportunities happen, so more and more women can get together and ride, feeling free, confident and beautiful.
