"With the attention to detail, high end fabric and finish, it is hard to pick any faults with it. You would be hard pushed to find a nicer merino jersey." - The Headset Press

"Number 1 - Best Cycle Accessory" - in survey by Huffington Post readers

"Highest scoring women's jersey of 2012"

The Merino Button Cycling Jersey was Vulpine's first woman-specific garment cut specifically for the female figure and has been quietly tweaked to new heights of fit, comfort and cycling specificity. Wonderfully comfortable, with great attention to detail, it's odour-free, sweat-wicking, and cut long and slim for cycling.

As with all of Vulpine's garments it looks equally good off the bike, and won't make you look like a 'geeky' sweaty cyclist! It's made from 100% highest grade, 180-gram New Zealand merino wool, with faultless flatlock stitching and three well thought out rear pockets.

Merino Sheep created their wool just for cyclists. It's uncanny. Incredibly comfortable, with loads of stretch and superbly soft, it is also naturally odour-resistant. Try wearing it for days on end if you don't believe us! Merino wool also keeps you warm in the cold and cool in the heat. How so? Merino is hydrophilic, drawing water from the skin quickly and allowing it to evaporate, cooling your body. When it's cold, merino traps warm dry air next to your skin keeping you toasty.

Vulpine have designed a pocket pattern that suits casual riding, with two angled rear-side pockets for easy access, and a low central zip valuables pocket. This low pocket accommodates backpacks and Camelbaks much better than three high pockets. The right rear pocket has a merino pocket flap, the left is open. A silicon waist gripper prevents it riding up and there is a subtle reflective rear tape and light loop. As fellow Foxy types, we are huge fans of Vulpine - and to judge from their amazing reviews, we're not alone!

Size Guide

Vulpine's Alpine Cycling Jersey is made of pure merino, meaning it curves and fits itself to you more flatteringly than many artficial materials. This is Vulpine's own recommendation for sizing:

X-Small: 32"/81cm – UK Size 8

Small: 34"/86cm – UK Size 10

Medium: 36"/92cm – UK Size 12

Large: 38"/97cm – UK Size 14

Vulpine's garments are not skin tight. They are designed to be close fitting to reduce wind resistance whilst cycling, but sufficiently loose to be casual off the bike. They are ergonomically designed and tested to suit a cycling position and active lifestyle. Think ‘tailored athletic’.

Vulpine's sizing is based on an average fairly athletic build, not super-skinny. Vulpine's sizes are made to match industry averages, using templates. They're cut long at the back for cycling.

Merino jerseys and t-shirts can be worn a size smaller for a skintight fit, as their merino garments are woven with plenty of comfortable stretch in them. Jackets are sized to go over a lightweight top and a light jumper. There are no large size jumps in the range.

Who's Behind It?

Vulpine was founded by Nick & Emmalou Hussey at around the same time as VeloVixen. Coming from backgrounds in film & design, they put their life savings and house into creating the company.

They now have a little boy, Millar, and a daughter Lyra. They've had cycling genetically implanted into them. The team has grown significantly through less organic means too. Vulpine have quickly become one of the biggest and most ambitious names in cycling. Crucially, office Jack Russell Lily, remains in a position of responsibility.

They've put in years of painstaking design, research and testing to create stylish cycling apparel that you'll actually want to wear both for cycling and for when you get where you're going. They've have made sure that it is all cut for cycling, with a classic British tailored influence. They've chosen sophisticated colours that don't just mimic other products out there. They've added innovations that are practical without being dull. And visibility features that you can wear with pride.

Vulpine has been a dream for most of Nick's adult life. He fell in love with cycling as a child, quickly graduating to pretty serious road racing and time trialling. But the enjoyment of cycling in all its forms is absolutely key to all the Vulpine team members. They believe we are all Cyclists, but also people with lives off the bike as well as on. We look forward to working with them as their exponential growth and profile continues.
