Welcome to your new favourite jacket. It's like your personal lifeline against the weather's worst, the jacket you'll always grab first - and probably leave you feeling bad for your others, but that's ok!

Chosen as one of the best women's jackets of 2016, the Showers Pass Rogue Waterproof Jacket features a 3-layer softshell Artex material and a flattering women's cut. The inner layer is a cosy fleece fabric which feels lovely against the skin and works to wick away sweat for dryness and comfort. Its outer fabric and waterproof membrane is what shelters you from those light showers and nasty winds - let nothing stop you from riding your bike (especially a bit of water).

Rogue has extra long sleeves, so there's none of that riding up your arm business and rain water will just run off the ends, without sneaking in through the wrist area. Plus, in cooler conditions, you can loop the wrist gaiters over your thumb for extra cosiness. A slightly dropped tail will protect clothing from tyre spray and cover things properly in the bike position. The hood will fit over most helmets and its drawcords adjust for the best fit.

*The Rogue jacket is packable and fits nicely in a back jersey pocket.

Who's Behind It?

Back in 2010, our founders Liz and Phil found themselves in a bike shop in Seattle whiling away a wet afternoon. They were part way through a year long trip, dodging rain because Liz hadn’t yet found a decent waterproof.

And then it happened. She fell into a Showers Pass waterproof jacket that fitted both her and her pocket, and promised to keep her dry and comfortable through the worst that the American North West could throw at her. That jacket became Liz’s favourite piece of kit and is still in use to this day.

From Day 1 of VeloVixen, we’ve been waiting for the moment we could stock Showers Pass. In 2013 they expanded into the UK, setting up home in South Shields. They’re slowly developing a small network of hand-picked retailers, never wanting to jeopardise the fantastic repution they’ve built up in the USA.

Based in Oregon, USA, Showers Pass was born from the desire to develop clothing and gear to get more people out on their bikes, no matter the weather.

Inspired by the challenging rides and variable conditions of Northern California and the Pacific Northwest, Showers Pass continue to combine high performance materials with innovative functional design for cyclists, just as they have since 1997. Best known for their exceptional waterproof-breathable outerwear, they aim to help racers, commuters, messengers and the everyday cycling enthusiasts power through the elements.

  1. Fabulous jacket

    Review by Claireibicycle

Love my new jacket, great colour, great to have a hood for when off the bike, good reflective strips, stylish, warm pockets, good price. It's keeping me warm on my cold winter cycle to work with only 1 merino layer underneath. The arms are quite long though but just about ok. Overall, I love my new jacket.
