A waterproof shell you can depend on. One that's possible to take with you, wherever you go. Specifically designed for cycling in the rain, from start to finish, the jacket maintains its highest performance, so you feel more relaxed, comfortable and most of all dry on the bike.

eVent fabric is the smartest choice for athletes, meeting their highest demands and needs of performance and comfort. The reason Castelli decided to create Donnina, so they could share this technology with the pro's and beyond. A waterproof outer keeps you dry whilst allowing perspiration to escape via millions of tiny pores. Sweat escapes at a remarkable rate, so you don't feel stuffy and instead, well ventilated.

Fully taped seams and waterproof zipper ensure the ultimate rain protection, stopping water from finding a way through. With Donnina's ultra lightweight feel, you may not even notice you have it with you. It packs down small in a rear jersey pocket, which is great for cycling trips too so there's less lugging around.

Stretchy wind and waterproof inserts at the elbow, shoulders, side panel and spray flap offer further protection against the elements and ensure water runs off. Donnina fits properly, like a cycling shell should, taking into account on-the-bike positioning. A silicone waistband, tightening toggles and quick-lock, drawstring wrist closure can be used to determine your preferred fit.

Castelli decided to add even more details that make total sense. Two large external pockets which are easy to access with gloves on, an extra-high collar and an easy-sliding front zipper - the less stress the better!

Did you know? Donnina has been given the Rosso Corsa stamp, which is only ever given to Castelli's highest-level products. Every curve, contour and fibre is obsessed about in great detail, so you can enjoy the ride with as little limitation as possible.

Who's Behind It?

Q. What do a 19th century Italian tailor, a designer for the Milan Ballet and the first ever lycra cycling shorts have in common?

A. They are all part of a rich 140 year history that's led to today's most recognised brand in cycling: Castelli.

Throw in a heart attack on a famous Italian climb, family feuds, Olympic gold medals and controversy in the pro peloton and it begins to sound more like a Sicilian soap opera than the backdrop to a cycling brand. But then again Castelli is no ordinary brand.

Today, Castelli's scorpion emblem is arguably the single most recognised in cycling. Iconic is an overused word these days, but the Castelli brand surely qualifies.

We first discovered Castelli on our year long ride through the Americas in 2010, when our founder Liz (pictured) wore Castelli shorts and loved them, so stocking them seemed an obvious choice. But we're almost as captivated by the story behind the name as the kit itself!
