Originally known as the Gabba Jacket, Castelli decided it was time to grant it its own, unique name and seen as so many people referred to the jacket as "perfect", why not call it exactly that? Name changed, they set about improving its perfection .. and making an even lighter version.
Perfetto is made from Gore Windstoppper 150 fabric, a lightweight fabric with superb wind protection. Finished off with an improved water repellency, the Castelli Perfetto Light will be the one you grab for when it looks a bit unpredictable out there. Its breathable outer and inner shell keep the wind from getting inside and Windstopper technology makes it the ideal choice in cooler weather.
The new Perfetto light has the Nano Light Pro fabric on the rear giving the jacket a lot of breathability and keeping you from heating inside. It has been further lightened by using a lighter weight Windstopper (a full 25% lighter) on the front. Castelli have coated this with millions of tiny nano-filaments, creating the water repellent side to its brilliance. Balls of water will bounce off the jersey, leaving no trace - it might not withstand a hefty downpour, but will serve justice in a light shower and brutal winds.
The rear pockets now lie flatter and fit better. With the help of a silicone gripper to the waist, full length zipper to the front (with wind flap) and laser cut drain holes in the rear pockets, we think you're all set for Mother Nature's unpredicted.
You may think that this is dfilling a very small niche. But just try it. It can cover most of the conditions of the Gabba yet it handles the warmer temperatures better. The fit is execptional so another reason why you will keep reaching for it.
Did you know? Perfetto has been given the Rosso Corsa stamp, which is only ever given to Castelli's highest-level products. Every curve, contour and fibre is obsessed about in great detail, so you can enjoy the ride with as little limitation as possible.

Q. What do a 19th century Italian tailor, a designer for the Milan Ballet and the first ever lycra cycling shorts have in common?
A. They are all part of a rich 140 year history that's led to today's most recognised brand in cycling: Castelli.
Throw in a heart attack on a famous Italian climb, family feuds, Olympic gold medals and controversy in the pro peloton and it begins to sound more like a Sicilian soap opera than the backdrop to a cycling brand. But then again Castelli is no ordinary brand.
Today, Castelli's scorpion emblem is arguably the single most recognised in cycling. Iconic is an overused word these days, but the Castelli brand surely qualifies.
We first discovered Castelli on our year long ride through the Americas in 2010, when our founder Liz (pictured) wore Castelli shorts and loved them, so stocking them seemed an obvious choice. But we're almost as captivated by the story behind the name as the kit itself! For the full Castelli story (it's quite a story!), click here.
