The Castelli Vista Knicker may be their 'entry level' 3/4 length cycling tight, but it's extraordinary value. Many brands would have this as their top end model, given the Vista's features, fabrics and fit!
The chamois pad is the female specific Kiss Air2 pad - a further evolution of our favourite original Kiss Air pad (as illustrated incomparably by Liz and Fran)
The Pro Dry double-layer material combines 15% polyester on the inside which helps move perspiration to the nylon outer layer, keeping you dry even when the going gets hard.
The 19% elastane-spandex makes it just the right 'stretchiness' - combine this with the 6-panel design and you end up with exceptional fit that customers come back to time and again.
Castelli have focused on two vital areas to make them even more comfortable: first, they used their ingenious 'cross-wrap' construction to both the waist and the leg endings to give a softer, more stretchy fit. The leg hems have reflective tape round the back for extra visibility.
Take all this into consideration and you start to see what great value they are for a fantastic quality piece of kit. Oh, and did we even mention that gorgeous dark steel blue?!

Q. What do a 19th century Italian tailor, a designer for the Milan Ballet and the first ever lycra cycling shorts have in common?
A. They are all part of a rich 140 year history that's led to today's most recognised brand in cycling: Castelli.
Throw in a heart attack on a famous Italian climb, family feuds, Olympic gold medals and controversy in the pro peloton and it begins to sound more like a Sicilian soap opera than the backdrop to a cycling brand. But then again Castelli is no ordinary brand.
Today, Castelli's scorpion emblem is arguably the single most recognised in cycling. Iconic is an overused word these days, but the Castelli brand surely qualifies.
We first discovered Castelli on our year long ride through the Americas in 2010, when our founder Liz (pictured) wore Castelli shorts and loved them, so stocking them seemed an obvious choice. But we're almost as captivated by the story behind the name as the kit itself! For the full Castelli story (it's quite a story!), click here.
